FIFA will be hard pressed to beat Konami?s next turn on the soccer pitch. Winning Eleven 7 will feature 100 teams, 21 stadiums, improved graphics, and more additions to the deep Master?s League. The new graphics engine will add hundreds of animations, and athlete?s facial expressions will change depending on how they play. A.I. is being tweaked as well so that it plays stronger defense. As a mixed blessing, realistically biased referees who favor teams will now be included, so you can relive the frustrating agony (or triumph) of Italy against South Korea in World Cup 2002. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode and a new multiple language system where you can choose Spanish or English. Also new is a shop element, which enables you to earn points in training and exhibition games to get new players, teams, stadiums, and crowd effects. The Master League will again grace your PS2, now taking place within four regional leagues. A player ?search engine? will enable you to find players with the right traits.
After playing a bit of the boxed Japanese version, it?s safe to say that this game will be awesome. Everything just clicks with passes and plays working the way you envision them. The game will be sure to please.
