The Sims bust out on the Game Boy Advance, too, complete with GC connectivity.
The Sims: Bustin? Out represents a new philosophy for Maxis?s life-simulation franchise: more focus on a single character, and the freedom to roam around town. While the console version of Bustin? Out still fits squarely in the traditional Sims gameplay mold, the gameplay in the handheld promises to be even more personal, putting you in control of a single Sim in a small farm town rather than giving you lordship over a whole group of them. Like the upcoming console versions, you have to satisfy motives (hunger, sleep, social, fun, etc.) while trying to accomplish a series of ?life goals,? including making friends, getting roommates, and finding out some of the town?s dirtier secrets. One of the possibly coolest features of the GBA game is the GameCube link-up. If you attach the game to the GC version of Bustin? Out, you can have your Sim from your console game visit your town for a day, or play GBA mini-games on your GameCube if your link goes the other way.
The Sims has always seemed like a perfect fit for Nintendo?s handheld system. It may have taken a while (Sims 2 is just around the corner), but finally you?ll be able to get a life?and take it with you, too.
