1080? Avalanche

GameCube snowboarders are finally getting their chance to ride the Avalanche. The follow-up to the original 1080? Snowboarding has been a long time coming, but it?s reaching the slopes in fine shape. The hook here is flat-out speed as the game emphasizes racing down jaw-dropping mountainside courses. Of course, if you have the reflexes?and the nerve?you can launch a cool array of tricks, too, including flips, spins, grinds, and big-time jumps. Former 1080? stars Akari Hayami and Ricky Winterborn are joined by three new characters for single-player contests and four-player matches via split-screen views. Avalanche also features system-link and LAN gameplay via the GameCube Ethernet adapter for four GameCubes. Looks like Nintendo is preparing for a serious snow flurry.
