I-Ninja

I-Ninja serves up ninja-a-la-South Park with its giant-headed hero.
I-Ninja runs on walls like Shinobi, helicopters around like Rayman, and pseudo-skateboards like Sonic. The story involves ninjas, robots, and a wizened blue sensei who hands out promotion belts. The four levels in the preview build include factory- and skate-themed platforms, Robo Boxing, and a mission where I-Ninja must roll a barrel full of gunpowder across a treacherous area to blow open a cage. The designers of I-Ninja (coming this November for the PS2 and GameCube) seem to be using the shotgun method, in which you pepper your game with elements that made other games fun, in hopes of hitting a good combination. The result so far is a mish-mash of miscellaneous influences that never quite manages to establish an identity of its own.
