Atari and Troika bring you the PC version of a classic D&D module. Roll your Save vs. Fun!

For the latest in the line of Dungeons & Dragons games for the PC, Atari and Troika (a development team made up of folks who worked on the original Fallout) decided to go back to the beginning. Back in the days when THAC0 meant something, Gary Gygax (the creator of D&D) wrote a classic adventure module called Temple of Elemental Evil. The adventure was so huge that it took players from Level 1 to Level 10 (thats a lot in D&D terms) in the course of a single story. Now that classic piece of RPG history is on its way to PCs.

It might not have the graphical bells and whistles Neverwinter Nights boasts, but its whats under the hood that really counts. TOEE is easily the most complete conversion of D&Ds Third Edition ruleset yet, with all the tactical coolness and geekeriffic number crunching hardcore D&D fans expect. While its turn-based combat might seem like a step backward, the preview version showed deep, tactical battles with all the options youd find in the rulebooks. In a time when the industry seems to be dumbing itself down, TOEE should be a breath of fresh air to true RPG enthusiasts.
