The world?s favorite sport returns to consoles with a vengeance.
In a franchise that is older than dirt, yet extraordinarily more popular, FIFA Soccer is back with more soccer hooligan antics. For years, EA has provided the finest and most complex soccer simulation the world has ever known, and this fall they will add a new season to the roster. In the last FIFA, EA produced a beautiful game that contained incredibly accurate animation with incomparable soccer physics and darn near unbeatable A.I. This new game turns up the heat with a retooled A.I. that applies not only to the individual player, but also the team as a whole. Managing your team also becomes a more full-bodied practice as gamers build their franchises from lower divisions up to the heights of a championship team by budgeting and other front-office decisions--rejoice in 16 leagues, 350 teams, and 10,000 players! Gamers are also invited to try their hand at coaching by making in-game strategies and tactics. And if you have the mettle, perhaps battling other players on-line will suit your thirst for conquest. As usual for EA?s newer titles, FIFA ?04 bears the sigil of the EA Sports Bio, a ?memory card based tracking/rating system? that will analyze the other EA Sports saves on your card and rewards you for playing multiple titles. Even though there is still no word as to whether the game will feature stadium riots or not, FIFA 2004 could shape up to be every soccer fan?s dream.
