Mega Mans first GameCube game blends his classic 2D exploits with RPG stuff from Battle Network.
Mega Mans first foray onto the GameCube has the classic mascot breaking out with a 3D cel-shaded look even as the traditional side-scrolling gameplay remains intact. The story takes place between Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Battle Network 2, as Lan and Mega Man solve the menace of the Zero Virus. Network Transmission uses the chip system from Mega Man Battle Network so players can customize their attacks and playing styles; new chips will provide Mega Man with all kinds of new weapons, defenses, and support items.By taking a game that is essentially a GBA sequel and putting it on the GameCube, Arika will have plenty of untapped processing power to make the effects sparkle. A look at the latest screens ought to send Mega Man fans into a state of manic anticipation. 2003 is shaping up to be a great year for Mega Man.
