One ring to yada yada darkness bind them, and new screens too!
In the third and final chapter of Tolkiens genre creating fantasy epic, players can expect a magnificent joining of film and gaming pioneered by this series. As games and movies lunge towards each other with reckless abandon, Return of the King ups the ante by utilizing the actual actors voices and footage from the silver screen in order to create a more immersive, and infinitely more marketable, experience. In addition to these improvements, players can expect a new multiplayer co-op mode that will allow them to create their very own fellowship to combat the unstoppable onslaught of the dark lord Sauron. The game will also include benefits for the lonely single player, including: eight playable, and secret, characters, twelve interactive environments meticulously reproduced from the films, right analog stick functionality for true 3D hit placement, and, perhaps best of all, JUMPING!
If you check out the new screen shots (and you will) be sure to note the extraordinary detail of the character renders is this a game, or screen tests from the actual movie? Mithrandir (Gandalf to the rest of you philistines) is a sight to behold and is neither early nor late, but arriving precisely when he means to.
