Did anyone pray for giant shoes? I did. Simpsons fans, you can finally set your Road Rage aside. With story and dialogue written by the TV show�s writers, and voice acting by the TV show�s cast, The Simpsons Hit and Run hopes to (finally) bottle the Simpsons TV experience as a video game. Hit and Run contains over 56 driving and on-foot missions spread across 7 levels which are modeled on popular Springfield landmarks. Grand Theft Simpsons? Perhaps... only Rasta-fied by 10% .Driving missions make up the bulk of the game, with over 17 characters to choose from and 40 unlockable vehicles to discover. On-foot missions can be played as Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, or Apu. Multiplayer driving challenges allow up to 4 players to compete against each other. And episode-specific bonus material is hidden throughout the game to reward die-hard fans.
Tthe game will be appearing on the GameCube, PS2 and Xbox this fall, so expect plenty of cross-marketing with The Simpsons Season 3 DVD set. The Simpsons Hit and Run looks like it should be much better than that album Grandpa released.
