Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds

There's a pentagram in front of Sunnydale High School! That can't be good!

The follow-up to the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer (a surprisingly fun third-person action game, especially considering the dross we were expecting) is much more than another cash-in--despite the name similarities, there's an entirely new development team behind this title. Although the basic idea is the same (Buffy and a few other heroes go around Sunnydale, California and kick undead arse to kingdom come), much more attention is being paid to the story elements this time. Even the plot reflects thisaccording to Vivendi, this game is being treated as a "lost episode" from the fifth season, where Pure Evil has set off a dimensional bleed to consume all of humanity.

As Buffy (or Faith, Willow, or three other characters), you'll get to fight it out over a series of Sunnydale locations, including some new areas inspired by the television series. All five characters (real likenesses and voices all around, of course) will have their own set of special powers, hopefully making things a little bit easier for you in the long run.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is developed by Eurocom and due out for the PS2, Xbox and GameCube this August.
