A dark alley, a band of unsuspecting criminals, and a 500-year-old vampire with a fearful thirst for blood. Yes, the perfect GameCube title for the holidays!
Blood Omen 2's already had a very successful run on both the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox, so Eidos very understandingly knows better than to mess around with what works. As a result, the GameCube version of Kain's unhappy adventures looked just as good as it does everywhere else. Perhaps a tad better even?there was a framerate stutter whenever the engine's loading something, but otherwise the game ran smooth as butter. As it always tends to be with multi-platform titles, the controller might be a sticking point of sorts?you need to mash down the shoulder buttons all the way for basic attack and block moves, and the Z button is used extensively to choose attack styles. It may be a pain on your thumbs, but the Cube version was still a right good way to spend a dark and stormy night. Assuming you don't mind crate puzzles that much.
