You can return for a third helping of everyone?s favorite zombie-infested homestead, this time on the Xbox.
House of the Dead 3 will continue the story of G and his associates as they try to stop the zombie-producing experiments. The gameplay will still entail one to two players simultaneously blasting the undead using an external device. Sega will not manufacture a light-gun this time, but third party Mad Catz has already signed on to release one. Knowing that there will be some gamers who won?t want to buy an extra peripheral, Sega has included a new onscreen gun?FPS-style?and the computer will still control movement, except for periodic player-selected, branching paths.The game was originally going to use cel-shaded graphics, but it has moved back to its grittier roots. The preview version looked sharp with detailed zombies and huge bosses. The game featured small traces of the earlier cartoon coloring style, which was more subtle than in earlier versions. House of the Dead 3 will be hitting Xboxes this fall.
