Not only is Pong Sifu happier than a wee schoolgirl about Raven Studios? epic game being ported to the Xbox, but he also manages to get through the entire preview without quoting any of the Star Wars films.
If there was one game that came out this year that made the Sifu kick himself for buying a Mac instead of a PC, then that game would have to be Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Verily, Jedi Outcast dominated by bestowing players with a massive arsenal of weaponry and force powers with which to smash the last remnants of the Galactic Empire?not to mention a killer story and graphics so friggin? drop-dead gorgeous that they alone are proof of a creator being. Well, our most fervent geek prayers have been answered as Vicarious Visions will port the mongo Jedi opus to both the GameCube and Xbox. Not only was all of the limb-whacking magic fully intact in the playable Xbox build, but the controls had also miraculously survived the transition to the console, and the slick visuals made the Sifu scream for mercy. Okay, so Jedi Outcast won?t support online play, but it will feature a bevy of multiplayer modes and the vocal talents of none other than Billy Dee Williams. Hot damn!
