Avast, mateys�to the extreme! Disney�s next big animated �ber-blockbuster alpha plus will hit the small screen at the same time as it hits the big one.
Developer Bizarre Creations certainly seems to live up to its name�they�ve taken Disney�s animated Xtreme sports/science-fiction reinterpretation of Robert Louis Stevenson�s classic pirate-themed novel Treasure Island and reinterpreted that as the kind of 3D isometric action/adventure where neighborhood Police Stations are laced with spike pits and lava, 100 coins give you an extra life, and blue keys inevitably open blue doors. Aside from these tried-and-true gameplay mechanics, the preview build featured smooth animation and colorful graphics, cool Psynergy-like powers doled out by an amorphous, hovering, pink, sidekick thing, level layouts that were clever and fun, and more clockwork-and-steam automatons than Mr. Stevenson could have ever possibly dreamed.
