Boulder Dash EX will take Dig Dugs dynamics and turn them on their heads. Puzzle-lovers rejoice!

Since comparisons between Boulder Dash EX and Dig Dug are ubiquitous, the only thing to do is present you with:

Three Ways in Which Boulder Dash EX Kicks Dig Dugs Ass:

1) The ability to rotate the playing field will set you up with mad crushing strategy.
2) You wont have to eat dirt or use an air pump.
3) The little blue cat will be way cuter than the dork in the space suit.

BDEX will take a few simple rules and spin them into ever more mind-boggling mazes where youll be challenged by nasty creatures and the laws of physics. As you explore the ruins of an ancient civilization, youll collect coins to open portals to new levels. The games addictive qualities will increase along with the complexity of the levels, until you forget about everything outside the GBAs diminutive screen. Certain stages will seem disproportionately difficult, but the thrill of finally getting them will be worth the effort, and then the next five levels will be a breeze.

Based on the classic quarter-sucking Boulder Dash of yore, the preview build exhibited the same compulsive qualities that had kids spending their juice money at the arcade. You might also remember Boulder Dash from the Commodore 64. Either way, youll have a chance to reminisce with a classic Boulder Dash mode. The finished game will feature over 150 single-player and 50 multiplayer levels to test your skills. Puzzle fans will be rioting in the streets to get a hold of this game in August.
