Are you ready to get your hoop on? Street Hoops attempts to validate its legitimacy with authentic ballers and recreations of street courts from around the country, not to mention an all-star hip-hop soundtrack. When you win games, you�ll win cash, which you can then use to enter tournaments, buy gear for your team, or even add tattoos to your favorite point guard. Trick dribbling and passing, along with a nice variety of dunk and alley-oop moves, made playing the preview a blast. The controls establish a nice balance between precision and improvisation, allowing for about equal parts stratagem and "I don�t know how I did that, but it was dope." Hoops also features an RPG-style character generator that creates customized players. Determine everything from gender, height, body type, hometown, nickname, and so forth.The one major issue that absolutely must be addressed before release is the horrendously slow load times. The courts and player models look great, but not great enough to justify the torturous minutes that pass while waiting for them to load. That aside, Street Hoops is set to deliver just what its name promises. Down and dirty, in your face hoop with no referees or uniforms.
