When Circle of the Moon marries Symphony of the Night, only good things can happen.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon was one of the biggest hits for the Game Boy Advance, and Konami is looking to continue the success of the Castlevania franchise with Harmony of Dissonance. Dissonance will take place 50 years after the events of the very first Castlevania game and will follow the latest whip-toting vampire hunter, Juste Belmont.

Dissonances 2D sprite graphics will be supplemented with a host of unique character abilities, such as a Spell Fusion system that enables Juste to combine items and weapons in order to create new attacks. Visually, the game promises to be easier on the eyes than Circle was since much of Dissonances activity will take place in brighter environments. A Quicksave feature will also be implemented, enabling you to save your game on the fly. Its also worth noting that the same team that made Symphony of the Night for the PlayStation is developing Dissonance.
