Do you like to role-play during sex? Do you prefer abstract ideas? These are just a few of the questions you'll have to explore as you delve into the re-imagined world of Silent Hill.
The grainy screen in front of you provides nothing but the occasional static line. There's a therapist stationed in front of you with a cold drink and a form for you to fill out. The list of questions on the form range from whether or not you've ever cheated on a partner to if you require a drink in order to relax. This test, known as the Labeled Garner Sobel Personality Inventory Form, may seem unnecessary but that sheet of paper marks the beginning of your evaluation and venture into the twisted world of Silent Hill.
Blood and Snow
You awake in a new world with furious snow and a freshly crashed vehicle. As if the odds weren't already looking bad enough, your daughter Cheryl is missing too. If only the misfortune ended there for Harry Mason, the weathered protagonist of Shattered Memories. As you begin to explore the barren town with your handy flashlight, ice decides to come up from the ground and block off any visible exit with the exception of a lonesome door. Opening that door is the mistake of your life but is completely unavoidable. Upon entering you see horrible creatures on the other side of the ice ready to smother you with their evil. As you encounter your first skin-covered demon it becomes apparent that your only line of defense is to try and shake them off.
Hugs for Nasties
Avoid bear hugs from the aforementioned creepy naked nasties on your way to finding your daughter because it will only end in death, no joke. Monsters in the beginning of Shattered Memories can't be killed so you can only use what is at your disposable, which isn't much. Your hands are your only friends in this matter and you'll need them at every turn. As you run like a bat out of hell narrowly avoiding touchy feely creeps, you can push objects in their path and climb to higher ground. There is also the option to hide in cabinets but that didn't seem to work out too well because monsters are the ultimate at hide-and-go-eat. I barely made it and the demo build only allowed me to scratch the surface of this creepy title. If you can stomach the terror, put Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on your survival-horror radar ASAP.

Could be a good game, too bad it looks like a PS2 game, and not a particularly pretty PS2 game. Graphics seem almost as bad as Manhunt 2.

I just hope they don't f*ck the story silent hill 1 story was a masterpiece and from all these shots it like they care more about sex then the game.... silent hill 2 ,3,4 do look better in then this game but this series bank more on music and puzzles so I hope they didn't f*ck that up........ but the silent hill series need a reboot after the last two games didn't really push it when it came to puzzles and horror and I hope this does it or just bring back team silent they knew how make a game

Why is everyone making such a big deal about the graphics? In games like the SH series, the story and puzzles are more important. I'm really looking forward to this since it's based on the first SH's story and that there are no other good games I have for my Wii.
