Quantum of Solace first look (page 2 of 2)

Executing a close-quarters kill also prompts the camera to shift to the third-person. In the second level we saw, Bond was chasing down a villain through an underground cistern from the new movie. As the stone waterways collapsed around him, Bond dart through the rubble and took out goons in his path. Satisfying execution moves triggered at close range has Bond nailing a foe with the butt of his gun and finishing them off with a quick shot.

It's surprisingly brutal, yet delicious nonetheless. Quantum of Solace takes Bond into a totally new direction that promises a much more action-packed experience than the last few games ever offered. You can bet that multiplayer will be included, although Activision is staying mum on exactly what they have developer Treyarch cooking up. Given that the game is beautifully being built on a modified version of the Call of Duty 4 engine, it'd be great to see some of the multiplayer features from that game make into 007's adventure. It won't be long before we know exactly what Bond is packing on the multiplayer side of this, as Quantum of Solace ships in the fall.

Gobbl3s

I still play GoldenEye 64 with my roommates every now and then. Even though there are better shooters out now, it is still fun to play with other people. It's still the best James Bond game so far.

Goldeneye 64 was a blast to get together with friends and play. That game cost me at least 2 girl friends. My boys and I would play that game all weekend and our girl friends would get pissed because we would just keep playing, game after game after game...

I am going to go out on a limb and say this will be better than Goldeneye 64. I loved Goldeneye 64 more than the next person and was undefeated by any of my friends. But it is 11 years old and I think its time the torch be passed.
