You?ll be able to bust mad tricks that are only possible through the use of a hoverboard in Namco?s upcoming Airblade.
The year 2002 is here, and hoverboards as seen in Back to the Future Part II have yet to materialize in real life. Airblade is hoping to bridge the gap that technology has not yet conquered, while throwing in phat trick-busting to boot. The setup of completing objectives in a level?like performing certain board tricks?is nothing new, but Airblade will also throw in a story that will give added weight to clearing levels within the time limit. In the story mode, you?ll have to save your friend Oscar and take on the nefarious GCP corporation, a feat that will unlock characters and levels to be used in other modes like Score Attack and Freestyle, as well as an unspecified ?greater challenge.? The graphics in the preview version already looked great and the controls are coming along nicely.
