SSX Tricky

The Xbox gets a helping of SSX Tricky, which gets a boost in graphics.

The tricks will continue as the current king of big air readies its debut for the Xbox. SSX Tricky will be the revamped, enhanced follow-up to the original SSX, which got its start on the PlayStation 2. Fancy Hollywood talent like Lucy Lui, David Arquette, Oliver Platt, and Billy ?Titanic? Zane will perform voice-overs for new characters?Marisol, Eddie, and Seeiah?as well as select members from the original cast. The preview version played well with the Xbox controller, and retained all the features of the PlayStation 2 and GameCube versions. The graphics were sharper than those of previous versions, though, with an emphasis on casted shadows and more detailed textures. The frame rate, however, still needs work before it hits store shelves, but the potential is there for the smoothest ride yet if EA can continue to maximize the power of the Xbox. Fans of madcap snowboarding action who didn?t take to the more realistic Amped for the Xbox 0can rest assured that SSX Tricky will soon be making a new home for itself on Microsoft?s machine.
