Follow two unlikely robot companions through a futuristic, and garbage-filled, Earth as they blast through droids and trash in an effort to clean up the planet.
There have been quite a few movies and games that focus on a horrific doomsday future for the Earth. But none of them have dared gone where the upcoming video game and Pixar movie Wall-E has in embarking on a journey with two lustful robots who wish to rid the uninhabitable Earth from its disgusting and trashed state. Alright...it's not really that dramatic but it still makes for a fun game.
Wall-E's world is one of junk and trash, yet he's still one of Pixar's most adorable characters.
Taking out the Garbage
Ignoring warnings years earlier, humans continued to pollute our planet to the point where it was no longer fit to live on. That's where the waste management robot Wall-E comes in as he has been living a very lonely bachelor life for the past 700 years trying to clean up Earth by himself. Enter the scout bot EVE and you've got a one-sided robot romance with Wall-E chasing after her heart.
Complete Opposites
Wall-E and EVE not only have completely opposite personalities in the storyline, but they are also totally different in the functions they execute. Wall-E can jump, throw trash, shape himself into a cube, and fix things with tools while EVE has a gun and can fly. The levels often focus on their different abilities as well with EVE handling any type of flying or shooting mission while Wall-E will take care of the platforming areas. There are also stages that utilize both of their unique traits as they work together.
Both Wall-E and EVE's skills will be utilized in certain stages.
Control Discrepancies
With Wall-E being available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii, it is worth noting that they handle a bit differently. In the 360 and PS3 versions, you will use the analog to navigate the robots around and to adjust the camera view. The face buttons are used to carry out tasks like jumping and shooting. Wall-E on the Wii is interesting in that the Wii-mote allows for the usage of motion controls which gives players more mobility with the characters. But this can be a bit frustrating at times when trying to do things like pickup trash cubes.
