Super Smash Brothers Melee

An all-star cast of Nintendo?s most recognized faces have gathered for a brawling benefit of ridiculous proportions. Be a part of the magic!

For many members of the anxious gaming community, this deliriously goofy sequel to the N64 brawler Super Smash Brothers sits near the top of the list of highly anticipated GameCube launch and not-quite-launch-but-close titles?if not because of their fond memories of the N64 modern multiplayer classic, then because of the opportunity to play around as Samus again before the get to ?see through her eyes? in the enigmatic Metroid Prime.

Since we last met up with our gaggle of Nintendo friends, a few new elements of SSB Melee?s gameplay have come to light: In addition to the already-expanded cast, there will be five hidden characters to dig out of the game. Major expansions include single-player levels with more traditional platform-hopping elements to make playing solo a bit more full-bodied, the addition of new block and dodge moves to shift the old game?s offense-heavy balance, and a more complete tournament mode.

The wait?s almost over?but ?Cube bundles are flying off e-shelves.com in mere minutes. Will you be one of the lucky ones? Or will you be one of the luckless losers, left to cry alone in the shadow of your cruel local Target outlet?
