Lucas Arts are trying their luck at strategy again. This time they?re using a familiar engine to entice Star Wars fans back to the RTS side of the force with Galactic Battlegrounds.
Age of Empires fans are going to be stoked?the upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds breathes additional life to the ever-popular RTS engine that made AOE a smash hit. After a ?close, but no cigar? effort with Star Wars: Force Commander, SWGB gives you the chance to play as the Wookiees, Rebel Alliance, Gungans (?me smell stinkabeth?), Trade Federation, and the Royal Naboo. SWGB will offer six campaigns spread out over 14 environments, with 50 terrain types. Like its parent RTS, the game types offered include Random Maps, Multiplayer, Death Match, Terminate the Commander, Scenario, Commander of the Base, Monument Race and Defend the Monument. May the force be with you?but not that guy on the other team.
