Namco?s popular shooter is gunnin? for another round of fast-paced firefights?and so far, this shooter is on track to becoming a great arcade port.
The Time Crisis sensation has never died down?even though the arcade version of TC2 is now two years old and the latest incarnation, Project Titan for the PlayStation, didn?t offer any cool new features to make the game stand out. It's the TC trademark gameplay of ducking to reload and avoid gunfire that adds depth to this otherwise mind-numbing shoot-em-up and keeps gamers coming back. The Hands-On version of TC2 looked much sharper than its arcade counterpart?complete with crazy explosions and smooth looking bad guys wielding every known weapon. The meat of TC2, though, will be its super-accurate control, which will be handled by a brand-new Guncon that will be packaged with the game. The duck button will now be located on the base of the gun, where clips are loaded into the handle?so your hands should feel more comfortable without any straining on the fingers. The unique two-player mode, where players can shoot from different angles, will also be included in this port. If the gameplay is as fast and challenging as it was in the early build, you can expect a fun Crisis in October.
