What would a first person shooter done by Sega look like? Find out inside.
Outtrigger didn?t cause a huge splash when it hit the arcade scene almost a year ago, but the Dreamcast version?s fate is looking considerably brighter. Outtrigger is basically a 3rd person shooter done up Sega style with bright, colorful graphics and a relatively simple control scheme. Although the default action is set from a third person perspective, a 1st-person view is also available for FPS fans. Support for Keyboard and Mouse are included as are a number of customizable settings for the standard Dreamcast pad. Single player mode consists of 20 different stages and lots of goodies to unlock like new weapons and options. The most exciting feature in a game like this is multiplayer and Outtrigger allows four-player split screen play as well as full on online deathmatches. Play on the Internet will support up to four players, which is a bit disappointing since most deathmatch style games usually do a minimum of eight. With it?s own unique twists, Outrigger is still something to keep your eye on in the next few months.
