Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

Boo! Did that scare you? Well, fine, even if that didn?t, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare certainly will. Haunting new screens lurk within!

Back before humanity even knew what "survival horror" really meant, a PC game called Alone in the Dark had a dead-lock on the genre. This June, the game world comes full circle with the sequel to the game that started it all, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, a game that promises to be a heady, horrific brew of cinematic terror and suspense with enough exploration, puzzle solving, and scares to turn a gray possum yella.

In this Nightmare, you?ll play as either paranormal investigator (and a survival/horror veteran, since he starred in the original game) Edward Carnby or archaeologist Aline Cedrac. You?ll be armed with nothing but your wits, a flashlight, and six supernaturally supercharged weapons to fight off the legions of unnamable Lovecraftian things lurking in the shadows. If you?ve already traded up your PlayStation, don?t worry. Infogrames also has two other versions of the game in the works--one for the Dreamcast and one for the PC--because terror can take on many, many forms.
