Arcanum is a world populated by elves, dwarves, orcs, ogres, and humans; a world long governed by ancient magic, but one that is now entering an age of technology and industrialization. Bearing this change is you, the chosen one destined to bring peace to all races. You?ll be able to choose your character type or create your own hero, picking their background, race, gender, skills, and techniques. Moreover, you?ll develop your character into either a technological genius?build explosives, be a gunsmith, or study herbs?or a powerful wizard with an armament of spells at your fingertips

The preview version exhibited this world with an entire spectrum of richly detailed environments, including mountain ranges, valleys, caves, and very populous towns. The menu system was a bit overwhelming at first, but, after some time, the game was a breeze to control.So far, Arcanum has an engrossing story, which promises to mix traditional RPG elements with original gameplay mechanics.
