Atari is reportedly working with Bullet Witch developers to optimize gameplay for the American market.

In a recent interview with Siliconera, Atari US Product Manager Jeremiah Cohn and Producer Matt Rush answered questions regarding the upcoming release of Bullet Witch for the Xbox 360. Most importantly, they confirm that Atari is working in tandem with Cavia, the game's Japanese development team, to address early complaints of collision detection issues and unresponsive control.
Rush blamed these problems on the game's massive environments, but he assures gamers that the issues will be rectified before the impending US release. In addition, he lists a number of changes the US version will have over the Japanese version, including improved AI, shooting view, textures, lighting, and overall gameplay.
Cohn mentions the two main reasons why Atari first became interested in publishing the Bullet Witch property. The first reason was the game's setting, which blends "mythical goth-like elements with apocalyptic themes". The second reason was the physics-intense nature of the game, which "really takes advantage of the Xbox 360".
Rush also adds that the game will feature downloadable content, much like the Japanese version. In particular, he mentions costumes, including a Schoolgirl uniform, secretary clothes, fantasy/horror themed Mummy and White Witch outfits, and a host of others.
Bullet Witch is slated for release in stores on February 27th.
