Battlefield 2142 sees Northern Strike expansion

Hit online shooter Battlefield 2142 is about to see a major update in the form of Northern Strike, a expansion that will add new vehicles, maps, and weapons.
Containing new maps, badges, and unlockable assets, Northern Strike is the new addition to the venerable Battlefield series. Perhaps most notably, this expansion will include at least two new vehicles: a hovering light IFV Hachimoto, available to the Pan Asian Coalition, and the heavy IFV Goliath, a powerful airborne gunship available to the European Union.
As in 2142, the plot revolves around a futuristic world war fought for control of dwindling food supplies after an ice age destroys most of the world's habitable land. In Northern Strike, the Pan Asian Coalition leads a last-ditch effort to unseat the European Union on its home soil. As the PAC prepares to harvest precious resources hidden under the ice sheets of mainland Europe, the EU forces must drive the invaders back towards the sea.
Expect Northern Strike in March. Though no price has been announced, previous online expansion packs for Battlefield 2 have cost $9.99.
