Wednesday update offers something old and something new.
"Alright you maggots, get back to the front!"
Can't get enough of Gears of War online multiplayer on Xbox Live? Good news: as of this morning, two new maps are freely available for download to help you stave off your Locust-killing withdrawal.
Less than a day after releasing an update patch for their baby, Epic Games unveils "Raven Down" and "Old Bones." The former depicts a large battle against the Locusts, and the search for survivors, following the downing of a Raven helicopter, while the latter tasks you with winning back museums that the Horde has taken from below. There's also an accompanying video introduction from lead designer Cliff Bleszinski, and a freebie theme pack.
Meanwhile, Namco drops another retro retread on Xbox Live Marketplace with the release of Ms. Pac-Man. Pac-Man might've started the power lunch genre in the golden age of arcades, but Ms. Pac-Man boasts more than one map layout, smarter ghosts, bouncing fruit, and a smoother feel. Grabbing it will set you back a whole 400 points (US$5).
