Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Videos Up for Grabs

Count on the UK to be the first ones to the party.

Z-Day approaches...

The UK arm of Nintendo's Wii web presence has posted some new videos to check out. Mercifully, these new ones focus on game footage rather than more shots of random people on a couch waving their controllers around.

The first clip shows the introduction owners of Link's newest adventure will get treated to on startup, with the green-clad adventurer riding over Hyrule's hills and dales on a horse to a subdued choral arrangement, and ends with a wolf's plaintive howl in front of some enormous liquid anomaly.

The second... well, we don't want to spoil any of the surprises. Check it out for yourself. It gives a taste of some of the cut-scene storytelling, the look and feel of the characters, weather effects, gorgeous lighting, and a few fleeting clips of the combat you'll encounter.

For all the talk about how the Nintendo Wii isn't going to improve much on the GameCube's graphics, this game looks pretty amazing, from the high contrast lighting to the convincing fire and water effects. November 19th can't come soon enough.
