Electronic Arts has put out a tasty new bit of video for Crysis that wades into the plot, dynamic combat, and jaw-dropping graphics of Crytek's first major project since releasing the popular Far Cry franchise into the wild. Learn tantalizing details about the customizable NanoSuit armor your elite soldier slips into, with its adjustable levels for speed, armor, regeneration, and strength. You won't be playing with Jack Carver's mutated bod, you'll still have some smooth superhuman abilities at your disposal.
Perhaps even cooler are the bits about weapon customizations that can be popped on your piece on the fly, and high-tech ammunition options that can explode on impact, or lie dormant, waiting for the signal to release a deadly toxin.
Check it out for yourself. Even if you don't lose any love on first-person shooters, the first-rate destructible foliage and intriguing premise make Crysis worth a closer look.
Man, this game just keeps looking better and better.
But I'll bet dollars to donuts it hits the Xbox 360, and maybe even the PS3, in late 2007 or 2008.
