Assassin's Creed Release Date Assassinated

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway sent back to boot camp as well.

Ubisoft bumps AC to late 2007

Ubisoft bumps AC to late 2007

In a piece of bitterly disappointing news, Ubisoft let slip in their latest earnings report that Assassin's Creed and Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway are now scheduled to hit the bricks somewhere in the neighborhood of "mid to late 2007." Assuming, of course, that they don't get delayed again in the interim. Looks like we're going to have to wait a while longer to meet the Hashashin answer to the Prince of Persia and explore his dynamic Third Crusade world.

For the plus column, Ubisoft spent the remainder of the same breath informing all that "Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2" will be out in March 2007, which ain't small potatoes when you consider how well the last entry did sales-wise. (2.4 million copies, at last count.)

And lest you think Ubisoft is only playing with Sony and Microsoft, check this out: there are fully seven different titles in varying stages of development for Nintendo's highly anticipated Wii system, giving their next-generation software presence the full trifecta.
