Sony Calls Lik-Sang Complaints "Sour Grapes"

Popular online video game importer Lik-sang is officially out of business, something it attributes to a recent slate of Sony lawsuits. But Sony has responded by denying the charges.

Yesterday, Lik-Sang announced that it was going out of business, and that angry consumers should ""blame it on Sony."

In a statement released today, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe shot down claims that it was responsible for the demise of Lik-sang, saying that the retail company didn't even show up in court to contest the charges.

"'Lik-Sang' did not contest this case (i.e. they did not turn up and therefore incurred no legal costs)," the Sony statement reads. "We have been awarded substantial costs against Lik Sang which have not been paid.

"We would therefore strongly deny that our actions have had anything to do with this website closing, and would suggest that this release is sour grapes on behalf of Lik-Sang.
