Madden, Need for Speed to be Wii Launch Games

EA has confirmed that Madden 07 and Need for Speed Carbon will be launch-day titles for the Nintendo Wii.

Both games will be available on November 19th, the first day of retail availability for the innovative new console, EA confirms.

Madden will be one of the few Wii games to support four-player multiplayer matches, through a selection of mini-games. Very few Wii launch games support more than two players.

Need for Speed Carbon will also make use of the Wii's motion-sensing controls. EA promises "50 plus" cars in the final version, as well as the AutoSculpt customization mode that features prominently into the other versions. No word if the Wii-mote will be used to make car customizations.
