Missing in action from Tokyo Game Show, industry buzz has led many to believe RE5 will be an Xbox 360 exclusive, and make an appearance at next week's X06.

Speaking with GamesIndustry.biz, Takashi Sensui, general manager of Xbox Japan, said Microsoft is "very good friends with Mr. Inafune." Keiji Inafune just so happens to be the game's producer.

Announced last year for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Capcom has yet to confirm whether the recent speculation that RE5 will be an Xbox 360 exclusive is true.

With the success of Resident Evil 4 in mind, an exclusive launch of Resident Evil 5 would be insane. If worst comes to worst, we'll see a timed release similar to RE4 where each platform will get a version of RE5 sooner or later. Here's hoping for a multi-platform release.
