Call of Duty 2 Officially Best-Selling Xbox 360 Game

Yesterday, Activision announced that Call of Duty 2 sold more than one million copies in the US alone, making it the best-selling Xbox 360 game to date.

The one million figure comes from NPD Funworld, a top retail tracking firm, and only counts copies of the game solid in the US. It does not include PC sales, or the spinoff titles available for other consoles.

Call of Duty 2 won rave reviews and stellar sales, making it an early favorite when it launched alongside the Xbox 360 console in November of 2005.
