Big news for World of Warcraft players today as Blizzard rolls out the extensive and highly anticipated Player vs. Player patch 1.12: Drums of War.
Patch 1.12 introduces a whole new world for Player vs. Player fans
As usual the new patch fixes various issues with bugs and balancing, but the big upgrades are the overhaul of PvP Battleground queue times and the addition of world PvP.
Previously, players would have to queue for PvP Battlegrounds such as Warsong Gultch or Alterac Valley with others on their server, waiting in lines up to three hours long. Not anymore as cross-realm Battlegrounds are introduced in patch 1.12, which groups multiple servers together eliminating lengthy wait periods.
World PvP was practically eliminated when Blizzard implemented dishonorable kills. But due to excessive pleas, world PvP returns in the form of objective-based land battles for strategic points or resources in both Silithus and the Eastern Plaguelands.
Also included in patch 1.12 is the Rogue class talent review, in which Blizzard has made major changes to the subtlety and combat skill trees.
