Responding to what they describe as inaccuracies in a recent Famitsu piece, Atlus issues a clarification concerning its upcoming Wii launch game Trauma Center: Second Opinion.
Atlus announces that Trauma Center: Second Opinion will launch with the Wii in the US, and that it will contain many new features
First and foremost, the publisher stresses that the Wii version of Trauma Center: Second Opinion is a "remake (or 'Wii-make')" of the DS surgery simulation, and "NOT a quick-and-dirty port!"
The statement goes on to clarify that the "Wii-make" will contain "new graphics and animation; new surgical implements and operation types; a second playable character with new missions; multiple difficulty modes; and a revised control system that takes full advantage of the Wii Remote." That's in addition to new voice acting. Phew!
The release also notes that "the Famitsu article didn't discuss all of the new gameplay elements in Second Opinion," and notes that Atlus will be revealing more of these prior to launch.
Atlus also promises that the game will be a launch title for the Wii.
