Releasing November 17th, 2006, the PS3 will launch with two separate hardware SKUs, the higher-end of which costing $599. In the interview, Guillemot expresses his concern that the high price could potentially create problems in the following months after the release for Sony.

Ubisoft is set to release new titles, alongside established franchises, for all three next-generation consoles such as Assassin's Creed for the PS3 and Red Steel for Nintendo Wii. As a developer for next-generation gaming, the French company expects 40 million consoles to be sold in the US in 2008.
