Microsoft Jumps The Gun On PDZ Map Pack Announcement

Microsoft jumps the gun on announcing new multiplayer maps for Perfect Dark Zero.

Today, amidst rumors circulating on the Internet about the availability of a new downloadable map pack for Perfect Dark Zero, Microsoft issued a mass-email stating that the map pack was indeed available online for a price of 500 points ($6.25). It seems, however, that Microsoft may have jumped the gun on their own announcement.

Writing in his blog, Xbox Live programming director Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb put the announcement to rest, stating that the annoucement went out before the actual maps were ready to release. Once released, the map pack will contain four new multiplayer maps -- Plaza, Trench, Rooftops, and Gas Plant. Currently there is no set release date for the new maps, although after Microsoft's premature announcement, it's not hard to wager that they're pretty close to release.
