Metal Gear Solid Not Coming to Xbox 360

u guys dont know how nusiness works. if in the population 80% owns a ps3 and 20% owns an xbox then i see why only ps3 will have it, but at the end of the day those ratios are completly wrong a lot have 360s and a lot have ps3s lets make a ratio of 50|50 and lets face it there are millions of ps3 owners that are fans of mgs4 but we cant forget the millions who are mgs4 fans and owns an xbox 360 i dont understand this space issue cmon lets get real there were games before with 4 discsdo people here mind getting up from there ass ejecting 1 disk and putting in disc 2.. it will only take 10 seconds and its good for circulations :-) if mr konami is a wise man and im sure he is he will release a 360 version cmon the guy is a business man u thing he will loose billions and not make a 360 version ?? if i was konami hell yeah il do it as i said there is a lot of ppl owning a 360 now ratios are almost even so he cannot do such a thing. thats my 2 cents :-))

kojima and sony couldve made a deal behind the scenes. sony needs to drive demand for the ps3 and platforming some of the most popular games would do that. and cross-platforming costs a lot of money so konami wouldn't lose "billions" by not offering it on the 360... they might've lost money if they released it on the 360. ps3 and xbox games are made entirely different so keep in mind the cost of the developers and programmers that would be needed for the game to be cross-platformed. by keeping it on one platform, you drive down production costs and are able to leverage with sony for giving them exclusivity, thus cancelling the money you wouldve made with the 360 version. and if a mgs fan really REALLY wants the game, chances are the consumer will just go out and buy a ps3 with mgs4, thus making sony AND kojima very rich and cutting out microsoft. this is business man.

I am bipartisan on this subject ....but what you said is just plain wrong.

1. A port is made to make more money, and is only profitable at this point since the game has sold millions of copies. Only a games inception or original release is when it must make up for spent money. Last years konami's total net sales where 1.5 billion. MGS4 bumped up sales by 10% from last years 1.4 billion

2. The cost to make the game had to do with voice actors, years of production, graphic designers, artist,years of programmers ect. To port a game , especially if its not to improve graphics , it takes considerably less money and time. To put it bluntly all they would need to do is reformat the technology and import it on a disc or two .

3.Xbox 360 nationally outsells PS3 by 1 million units. Those are the solid numbers , i am not a 360 fan boy i can careless, its confirmed information (sticking your fingers in your ears and saying la-la-la doesn't work . MGS4 did respectfully boost PS3 sells by 180% for that first week though ;)

4.Hideo Kojima's solid snake character openly made jabs at pS3's retail price and how it conflicted with the sell of future metal gear games on the new super smash bros commercial

5.The economy is so funky right now ,who has the dough to hash out money for a PS3 just for one game when all they have to do is wait for the inevitable to happen ?!? The Port to the Xbox... just like its predecessors metal gear 1 substance (Nintendo), metal gear 2 subsistence(xbox), and so on...

Lets not forget FF13 which will cost alot more than MGS4, undoubtedly more than 50 million, and is a multi platforming game appearing on both the xbox and Ps3. Square is no fool and forgive me for quoting "just doing good business."

'doing good business would mean releasing it on the xbox360 as well'. Saying something along those lines could be accurate. However for the sake of patriotism, Kojima should stick to Sony. PS3 had a slow start, yes it's true, but it's picking up. Some of my friends have sold their 360 to get a PS3 instead. I've never seen it happen the other way around. If you REALLY want MGS then just buy a PS3 as well. I know I would.

The xbox360 exclusives aren't awesome enough for me to pay up. Star ocean won't be a big loss. Even tales of vesperia is being ported on ps3. If you tell me that there's a MGS going on 360 only, then YES I will buy one. Otherwise forget it.

Bruceleroy, you are an xbox360 fanboy. If you want MGS that bad just buy the console instead of trying to project your desires to the 'inevitable port to xbox'.

As for final fantasy 13 dear man, there's 3 games. 2 of them are on ps3, only one of those is going on xbox. Get your readings right beforehand. Just taking the elements that are 'convenient' for your point is a weak move.

As for the selling numbers, which area of the world are you referring to? Please look into it again instead of throwing vague numbers.

The only console hating I've experienced was ps3 hate. If people were that happy about their console, they'd stop whining and use that time GAMING. kthnbye

I did, as anyone who understands world economics. Top it off, Microsoft announced they are the new official platform of the Metal Gear series (which I hope to pass along to my children).

To top off a pretty impressive E3 conference, Microsoft brought out Hideo Kojima to announce that the Metal Gear Solid series is coming to Xbox 360. It's not Metal Gear Solid 4, as was rumored, but something else entirely. The new game in the multi-million selling franchise will feature objective-based missions, Metal Gear Solid Rising is currently in development for the 360. It was announced during the "exclusives" portion of the conference so it seems the 360 is the only platform getting it. Hideo Kojima himself promising it will be a "new Metal Gear experience" leading us to assume it will include exclusive content, further story expansion, and gameplay not offered in any PS3 MG edition.

Now all the smoke has cleared and the verdict is out: Metal Gear is making an appearance on the Xbox 360. For the second year in a row at E3 Microsoft has revealed big, big news for 360 fans, first Final Fantasy XIII; now Metal Gear Rising. What's next?

MGR wont be an exclusive game only for xbox it will also come on the ps3

Some people assume it was an exclusive..But ITS NOT...

no mgs4 is suppos to be using a high amount of space like 40gb + which bluray disk can handlle up to 50gb. thus the xbox using the normal CD-ROM can hold up to 15gb which means mgs4 will not fit for xbox.. meaning if they were to make it on xbox they would have to decrease it HEAVILY so thats why they are making a new one so it will never be as good

scratch that its 50gb (: so it wont fit it WILL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS IT IS ON PS3 so wahey (: thats why its mnot on ur xbox.
