7 Tracks from Guitar Hero II Announced

Partial Guitar Hero II soundtrack revealed, to be playable at E3

Red Octane has just announced some of the upcoming tracks for Guitar Hero 2, which will have a 55-song soundtrack when it hits the US this November.

The publisher told the press that Reverend Horton Heat's "Psychobilly Freakout," Kiss' "Strutter," Butthole Surfers' "Who Was in My Room Last Night," Van Halen's "You Really Got Me," Black Sabbath's "War Pigs," Rush's "YYZ," and "Arterial Black", and original song by Drist, will all be playable at E3.

Drist and two other bands, LA rock group Shaimus, and Graveyard BBQ, the winners of the "Be a Guitar Hero" competition, will perform at Red Octane's E3 booth in Kentia Hall.

While gamers wondering if developer Harmonix would incorporate other genres of music into Guitar Hero 2, it is pretty clear they're sticking with good old rock.
