PGR 3 Gets 12 New Cars; Cadillac Upgrade In the Works

Project Gotham Racing 3 gets a huge new premium download, as well as the promise of more to come
Several days ago, Microsoft and Bizarre Creations unleashed the Speed Pack for Xbox 360 racer PGR 3. We spoke with Ben Ward, the community manager for Bizarre Creations, to see what the company had in mind for the future of PGR 3.
It's mostly good news. It seems that the Speed Pack will be the first of multiple downloadable enhancements for PGR 3 -- Ward said that Bizarre Creations is "going to support PGR3 for a bit longer yet." But what kinds of future upgrades can PGR 3 players expect? "There's been talk about the upcoming Cadillac pack, which will be a collection of cars from the new Caddy collection," Ward said.
But that's not all: "We've also planning a couple more upgrades," Ward said, "based largely around injecting even more fun stuff into the PGR3 playtime mode."
PGR 3 has proven to be a top first-party title for Microsoft and the Xbox 360, as well as a marquee example of the company's pay-per-download strategy. The Speed Pack costs 400 Microsoft Points, the equivalent of $4.00 US, and adds twelve cars, a new tournament mode, and other small tweaks.
