Sixteen months later, GTA: San Andreas back on top
It's been roughly sixteen months since Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas hit the PS2, but it's back on top of the sales charts according to the NPD Group.
"Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Version 2"--the "Version 2" referring to the revised edition that eliminates the hidden Hot Coffee sex games--was the top seller for February, retailing at a mass market-friendly $20 price point.
The gaming media and hardcore gamers may be sick of the hugely hyped series, but these continued strong sales only demonstrate the power and heft of the Grand Theft Auto brand.
