BioWare Opens Austin Studio, Announces MMORPG

BioWare opens new a studio and begins working on its first MMORPG

Jade Empire developer BioWare today announced the opening of a new studio in Austin, Texas. This marks the second BioWare studio for the Canadian-based developer, and the first to be located outside of Canada.

The new studio, BioWare Austin, has begun working on its first project, a MMORPG that will be a collaborative effort with BioWare's Edmonton studios. The new title also marks BioWare's debut in the MMO game space.

"With our extensive heritage in the roleplaying genre, BioWare Austin is extremely well positioned to innovate in the massively multiplayer online space for BioWare's valued community of fans," says co-founder and Joint CEO of BioWare Ray Muzyka.
