Multiple F.E.A.R. Sequels on the Way

Two sequels to PC shooter F.E.A.R. to arrive in the near future

F.E.A.R., one of 2005's highly-acclaimed PC first-person shooters, may be getting two sequels.

Original developer Monolith, acquired by Warner Bros Interactive last year, has revealed that it is currently working on a sequel for PC and next-generation consoles. But because Vivendi Universal Games still owns the rights to F.E.A.R., the new Monolith sequel will release under a different name.

Additionally, VU Games will is also planning to release an official sequel to F.E.A.R. using the F.E.A.R. franchise name, but the game will be created by a different developer.

Monolith's yet unnamed sequel will have the same horror-inspired vibe as the original F.E.A.R., but may release in different versions to support each next-generation system's specific strengths.
