Call of Duty 2 Gets Patch; Multiplayer Update In Development

Today's your day, luck Call of Duty 2 owners.

If you've been stressed out over the high-profile bug that can corrupt save game files in Call of Duty 2, stress no more.

Activision has released an Xbox Live update that fixes that particular problem, but other issues still remain unaddressed, primarily in the game's popular Xbox Live multiplayer component.

Most prominent among the still-existing bugs is an exploit that allows one player to cheat in a system link match. The game's limited Xbox 360 multiplayer modes and pokey internet performance are other long-standing frustrations that recently led to widespread community outcry.

But help is on the way. A Microsoft employee's blog reassures Xbox 360 owners that "additional updates" are on the way, including fixes designed to introduce "a number of multiplayer enhancements to the community."
