Ubi Soft pushes the latest Splinter Cell game from a spring release to a September release.
Ubi Soft has announced that the eagerly-anticipated fourth chapter in the Splinter Cell series--Double Agent--has been delayed from its spring release to a September 2006 release.
Ubi Soft made the announcement in its third quarter 2005 revenue report, released today. The publisher did not name a reason for the delay.
When we requested clarification, Ubi Soft responded by saying only that the game "will revolutionize and reinvent the spy action genre by introducing an unprecedented double agent concept and an entirely new breed of gameplay that adds an exciting new dimension to the gaming experience."
Umm...thanks, guys.
